AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Volunteering at Russell Creek Park on May 3rd, 2025

Reported by: Sophia Li Posted by: Jenny Lin

On the evening of May 3, 2025, ten members of our Frisco Plano branch volunteered at Russell Creek Playground in Plano for a fundraising event. We set up tables and sold boba tea, ice cream floats, and cotton candy to families and visitors enjoying the weekend at the park. In addition to managing the sales, we actively promoted the event by holding signs, interacting with people walking, and sharing information about our cause. One of our volunteers even danced and sang to draw attention, adding energy and excitement to the atmosphere. Throughout the evening, we engaged with customers, encouraged purchases, and explained that the proceeds would benefit cancer patients at the Children’s Hospital in Plano. At one point, a curious person noticed our signs and approached two of our volunteers to ask about AYLUS and what it stands for, and what our organization does. Two of our volunteers took the opportunity to share AYLUS’s mission of youth leadership and service, explaining the various ways we contribute to our community. Thanks to all the hard-working volunteers who are dedicated to serving the community. The following volunteers are
