On April 18th, 2025, four AYLUS volunteers helped move 27 boxes of books to be shipped to Kalumba CDSS in Malawi. The Frisco and Plano branch has worked in tandem with the African Library Project to build multiple libraries, allowing children in underserved communities in Africa to accelerate their literacy. We have previously founded libraries in countries such as Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Lesotho, among others. Today’s volunteering event consisted of shipping volunteer-packaged and sorted boxes to their intended destination. Thank you to all members who participated in today’s activity!
