To support our mission to build libraries for the underprivileged in Africa, the AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch has coordinated countless volunteers to collect books. As a result, we are already gathering material for our eighth library!
Once the books were collected through donations, volunteers sorted and classified them based on four grade categories: pre K-1, 2-4, 5-6, and 7-8 grades. The sorting process was done individually or in small groups, and it was completed by hand.
On April 18th, 2025, volunteers finished classifying books. As a result of the their hard work, we have sorted over one thousand books! Thank you for all of your time and effort!
