Greater Tulsa Branch did the last book drives before shipping a library to Ghana on April 18

Reported by Kevin Chen

On April 18, at advisor Chaoying Zhang’s home, our youth volunteers Andrew and Kaylin made a generous contribution to our African Library Project. They donated a total of 76 books—27 educational books and 49 books for young children—collected during their most recent book drives. Although we later learned from the project coordinator that math and science books are especially needed for schools in Ghana, we were not aware of this earlier and had not collected them. In response, Andrew and Kaylin organized a final round of book drives to supplement our donation and ensure a more impactful contribution to the library project.
Youth volunteers are: Andrew Li: 2 hours; Kaylin Chen 3.5 hours.

Adult volunteer: Chaoying Zhang, 2 hours
