On April 20, members of AYLUS arrived at King’s Point Park to spread wood chips. Volunteers used rakes to spread wood chips that were provided to them around the park. Spreading these wood chips provides the reduction of weeds as well as enriching the soil that helps with plant growth and making the trails safer. The volunteers worked tirelessly during the two hours they worked to not only make the park look more beautiful, but also improve the health of the environment. It also unites the community together to work on projects such as these to improve the place around them. This would improve the visitors’ experience from seeing the hard work and dedication that took to make the park more eye-catching. The volunteers will continue to work hard every week to provide the best possible environment for everyone.
