AYLUS Roslyn Helps the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County at the Bayville Care Center (17th) on April 6th, 2025

On Sunday, April 6th of 2025, from 10:30 to 1:30 pm EST, 4 members of the AYLUS Roslyn AND Syosset Branch visited C.P Nassau residents at their Bayville location. C.P. Nassau has been supporting many individuals with disabilities for over 75 years and it provides various services including medical and primary care, therapy, education, etc. and it also has places like the Bayville location.

We started the day off with arts and crafts, and we decided to focus on planting some seeds . We used egg cartons, some seeds and paper towels. We crumpled the paper towels, and moistened with water. After that we put the seeds on the paper towels, and then cover the carton with some plastic covering. After the residents were done with their arts and craft activities, we moved onto Uno. We let everyone who wanted to play go multiple times until everyone was happy. Lastly we played some Jeopardy on the Wii. It was very nice and heartwarming to see the residents so happy and excited during these activities. Volunteering at CP Nassau continues to inspire us to help the residents of these locations. It allows for us to talk and connect with individuals with disabilities, offering companionship and also our support while also encouraging patience, strengthening teamwork, and kindness. We look forward to our next visit and another opportunity to bring smiles to the residents of CP Nassau!
