AYLUS Roslyn Donates to Books for Taiwan (2nd) on March 8th, 2025

On Saturday, the 8th of March 2025, the Aylus Roslyn Branch came together to donate and organize books to send to Taiwan. Books for Taiwan is a nonprofit organization funded by donations run by volunteers based in New Jersey. Books for Taiwan aims to help individuals who do not have as many resources in schools, community centers, and prisons. Since 2012, over 1.3 million childrens books have been collected and shipped across the Pacific to Taiwan!

Today, members brought in books that were no longer of use to them, ranging from infant picture books to middle school leveled chapter books. Additionally to donating books, members also helped organize the books, placing them into cardboard boxes and packing the boxes up for pickup.

Through donating books, we are able to help others who do not have the same access to books and education. We feel extremely fortunate to be able to share this experience with people across the world. Thank you to all the members who donated books, we hope to continue in the future!
