AYLUS Great Neck Branch Therapeutic Ice-Skating program(3rd)
On March 1st, 2 PM, AYLUS Great Neck Branch held its third Therapeutic Ice-Skating program at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink. Members of AYLUS assisted with the therapeutic skating program, helping children improve their skating skills.
Upon arrival, 2–3 members were assigned to each child, providing guidance and support as they practiced skating within the cones. We taught them skills such as skating backward, jumping, pushing, gliding, and much more. Along the way, we also got to know the kids better—learning about their favorite shows, colors, and interests. Some members even used these interests to make learning more engaging by connecting skating moves to familiar concepts.
Both the participants and the children had a fantastic time, making the event a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
