Frisco and Plano Branch Volunteering of FMSC event on February 21st, 2025

Reported by: Ryan Ma Posted by: Jenny Lin

On February
21, 2025, we volunteered alongside other AYLUS members at the non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children, starting at 7:15 PM. This Christian nonprofit is dedicated to ending hunger. A total of seven volunteers participated in the event.

We packed MannaPack rice, which consists of four key ingredients: vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice. Volunteers were assigned various tasks, including labeling, working in the warehouse, packaging, and sealing, with clear instructions provided for each role. To make the experience more engaging, we took part in challenges to see which group could pack the most boxes while music played in the background. Our team worked at Table 4.

After approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, we completed the food packaging and began cleaning up. In total, we packed 106 boxes, amounting to 22,896 meals, enough to feed 62 children for an entire year.
