Once again, on Febuary 17th, 2025, 26 Forsyth County AYLUS chapter members partnered with BioCure, a local student-led organization, and Keep Forsyth County Beautiful for a large-scale roadside cleanup event. This time, 2 long sections of roadside were targerted for cleanup: either side of Bethelview Road. The event was from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, where certian groups finished clean-up early. Participants collected a total of 13 large trash bags.
One group went from the Starbucks on one side of Bethelview Rd to Parkway Presbyterian Church (from Atlanta Highway to Bennett Pkwy). Another group cleaned the other side of Bethelview Rd, from Ingles to Classic Collision (Atlanta Highway to Bennett Pkwy). The third group cleaned from Publix (intersection of Castleberry and Belthelview Rd) to Classic Collision (Castleberry Rd to Bennett Pkwy). Volunteers focused on clearing trash from grassy areas along the roadside, curbs, and sidewalks. We were provided with construction vests for safety and were given an abundance of trash bags.
