On January 26th, 2025 we volunteered at Mckinney High School Performing Art Center for the Chinese New Year celebration, raising money for the Children’s Hospital in Plano. Most of the people there were wearing traditional articles of clothing or dressed up for their performances. Their dresses were very pretty. We sold cotton candy, cute crochet items, our hand-made bracelets, and balloon animals. Lots of people bought cotton candy for their kids. The strawberry flavor is very popular. There was even a line waiting for the cotton candy. Some members from our branch also performed dragon dances to the beat of the big drum. People were happy and hopeful for the New Year!
