Youth Mentoring Nov. & Dec. 2024 Report

On November 3 and December 26, 2024, AYLUS East Cobb members Jerry Xu, Kaisen Li, and Kaila Li organized and conducted a mentoring program for elementary students. This initiative aimed to provide both academic support and physical development opportunities.
The academic portion of the program focused on essential study skills such as time management and organization. Volunteers also provided personalized math and English lessons, designed to strengthen the students’ understanding of fundamental academic concepts at their grade level.
Beyond academics, the mentors incorporated outdoor activities, including games and basketball coaching. The sessions emphasized skill-building in dribbling, shooting, and teamwork, promoting physical fitness and collaboration among the students.
The program achieved its goals of enhancing the students’ academic performance and fostering their teamwork and physical fitness. AYLUS East Cobb remains dedicated to creating meaningful community impact through initiatives like this one.
