Chapel Hill Branch Volunteers Clean Up Bolin Creek Trail on January 4, 2025

On January 4, 2025, five members of Chapel Hill Branch braved freezing temperatures to clean up Bolin Creek Trail. Despite the chilly weather, the group collected three full bags of trash, mostly consisting of plastic waste. Our volunteers were proud to make a noticeable impact on the area.

In addition to the cleanup, the group was excited to welcome the new member, Audrey, who is in 4th grade. Audrey has a strong passion for community service, and her enthusiasm will be a valuable addition to the team.

Littering can lead to pollution, spread disease, and harm wildlife that might consume the trash. The group hopes their actions will inspire others to take responsibility for the environment and help create a safer, cleaner space for everyone.

Volunteers who participated in this event included Luna Chen (1.5 hours), Eric Sun (1.5 hours), Audrey Xiang (1.5 hours), Karen Lin (1.5 hours), and Kayla Lin (1.5 hours).
