The AYLUS Mclean Branch participated in the Clock Tower Thrift Shop Volunteer on November 27th, from 11 am to 4 pm.

Volunteering at a thrift shop is both impactful and rewarding for several reasons. It also aids volunteers through skill development, community engagement, sense of purpose, etc. Thrift shops offer affordable, community support through charities, environmental benefits, and more. Volunteers at this event acted as handymen, aiding the staff with small tasks in various areas. Some of our duties included shelving donated items, tagging books, and maintaining a clean shopping environment for the customers.

The following two members participated in this event: Emma Tao (5 hours) and Emma Tsao (5 hours)
