On Friday, 12/13/2024, 3 members of AYLUS taught students ranging from third-graders to ninth-graders in various math topics at the local Chinese school, the Newtown Yardley Chinese School. Lucas Zhang (Event Leader), Albert Chen and Alex Hu participated, teaching from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Our volunteers taught two different classes, one for younger students and one for older students. During the teaching time, the older class, taught by Lucas Zhang, covered advanced divisibility rules as well as some AMC 10 questions, while the younger class, taught by Albert Chen and Alex Hu, worked on common math pattern recognition and math solving tricks.
All members had an enjoyable time teaching and felt that they had gotten through a considerable amount of content, positively impacting young students within the community by providing advanced math instruction and review.
