Today, the Greater Tulsa Branch of AYLUS successfully promoted and fundraised for our African Library Project. The goal of this initiative is to establish a small library for children in rural Africa, helping them develop through literacy. To make this happen, we need to collect 1,000 children’s books and raise approximately $700 for the shipping costs to Africa.
Our fundraising efforts took place at the Pan-Asia supermarket, where we sold toys and received generous donations from both the store employees and customers. We were truly inspired by the kindness of everyone involved. The overall generosity exceeded our expectations, and it strengthened our passion for serving through this project. We are excited to continue working towards our goal of improving children’s access to learning and education in Africa.
We had 12 kids and 4 adults participated this event.
