On November 20th, 2024, three members of the AYLUS-Columbus branch, Brenna Li, Estella Li, and Maggie Zhang, held an in-person weekly tutoring session at the Abbey Church Village in Dublin, Ohio. This community is part of the national church residences and serves low-income families, including new immigrant families. AYLUS Columbus members helped 4 elementary, and middle school students with their math and English homework. The volunteers welcomed a few parents to observe the session.
Essie’s dad, Junan Li, was the adult supervisor of the session.
