On September 5th, 2024, Greater Cleveland Branch members volunteered at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Members carried 50 pound bags of carrots, and sorted through them, ensuring they were high quality for distribution. They then weighed out 5 pound bags, and packed them into 30 pound boxes, in order to fill pallets.
The volunteers for the 6-8pm shift (including 4 branch members) were able to sort through an astounding estimate of 5000 pounds of carrots, and packed around 3000 pounds for distribution. Excellent work!
Members Darrell Zhang, Steven Wang, and Jason Wei, along with new member Ren Yoshioka participated in this activity (2 hours).
