Our volunteers from the Frisco & Plano AYLUS branch have seen a great increase in their crocheting/knitting skill level after only a few meetings. During the last meeting, some volunteers were able to complete entire hats! From now on, we will be forming small groups to work on hats. Besides making hats, we also decided to crochet amigurumi plushies/keychains and other decorations. These can be gifted to the cancer patients along with the hats, and can be sold in the flea market to raise funds for donations.

On August 17, 2024, 2 volunteers, Melody Zhang and Tanya Fu, gathered together from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM to crochet animals, and discuss the plan for this group going forward. We came up with a plan to make monthly themes, which involve designing one to two animals/other decorations per month, and to host monthly training sessions for the group to learn and to crochet.
