In August of 2024, Morris Aylus Branch participated in a food drive for children that didn’t have meals during the summer. Throughout the month, the volunteers spread word around the community through making posters and notifying their neighbors. They collected non-perishable foods like pasta, beans, and other canned items.
In total, they collected 82 pounds worth of donations. These items were sorted by each of the members and were dropped off on August 23, 2024 at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey’s Hillside location.
