Riverside County AYLUS members returned to the food bank on July 3rd, 2024 to continue their support before the upcoming holiday. They started out with organizing the donations to load up the cars that were lining up. Once the cars started to move they helped load food boxes, juice, water melon and the occasional flower bouquet into the cars.
After that they helped with packing produce into the food boxes. Big juicy tomatoes as well as zuchinis were packed on top of the already pretty full food boxes. The spoiled produce was discarded into a separate box to be donated to an animal shelter. They also worked as a runner and brought out milk and day bags to be loaded into the cars. Later on they helped clean some of the produce by washing some of the vegetables before loading them onto a tray.
