06.01 CP Nassau Report
On June 1st, Aylus of the Great Neck branch hosted another volunteer event in a cerebral palsy home which brought delight to many of the participants. We first started off with a popular baking activity that all participants ultimately enjoyed with most of them trying to actively help create the cookies. We then transitioned into some craft and game activities, creating a bouquet of plastic flowers as our next experience. Additionally, in between the activities we are the cookies. We then proceed to a rapid game of Uno before starting a minor physical activity like ‘catch’ with the recipient holding a basket while the participant tries to launch the ball. Finally after the cookies are finished and another more animal themed activity concludes we end the session with a fun and interesting game of Headbandz before leaving. In total, Saturday is a successful experience to have.
