AYLUS Assists Teachers at Long Island Chinese School

On June 2nd, the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers at Long Island Chinese School. The volunteers primary responsibility at the school were to assist in grading students’ classwork and homework assignments. This allowed the teacher more time to focus on classroom instruction and individual student needs.

Volunteers helped maintain a productive learning environment by monitoring students’ behavior and encouraging them to stay focused on their assignments. Through reminders and suggestions, the volunteers ensured that students remained engaged in their work.

They also provided support by addressing students’ questions about their assignments. This involved explaining concepts, clarifying instructions, and offering guidance to help students better understand the material.
