On Sunday, January 28, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers arrived at the tail end of the residents’ workout, helping them put away their exercise materials. Pouring guava juice and water, the residents hydrated and were also given some light snacks. Due to the warmer weather, the residents were taken outside for some walks. The residents and volunteers played a word game together, coming up with different words, writing them on a whiteboard. The residents were then taken inside to the dining hall for lunch.

On January 28th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped their local senior center – Atria Living center.
In the ice cream parlor, members began setting up, and bringing out the materials needed, like the toppings, spoons, napkins, etc. In the library, members found some seniors already waiting there for them! Members played lots of ragtime pieces and some relaxing pieces for the seniors. The seniors expressed their love for music and their appreciation for the members’ coming at the end.
