1/28/24 AYLUS Dix Hills volunteers collaborate with Long Island Chinese school to act as teacher assistants
January 8th, the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch worked as a teacher’s assistant, helping kids who were struggling to understand the lesson, making sure students were on task, watching the students during break times, passing out classwork, photocopying paper, and grading student’s work.
By actively patrolling around the classrooms to observe and help students, teachers have an easier time to educate the students.
Cultural classes were also attended by volunteers to work with these students and teachers to better understand the lessons.
