On Saturday, January 6, Murrieta AYLUS members lended a hand to the STAT horse sanctuary.
The volunteers began by cleaning out the horse’s stalls, stopping to pet the horses and shoveling their waste. As the wheelbarrow filled volunteers stepped out to dump at the master pile, encountering some trouble with getting an eager mare to stand clear of the fence. After finishing the horse’s stalls, the volunteers paid a visit to the goats. They raked goat waste, old grass, and loose leaves into piles before shoveling them into the wheelbarrow. Clearing both the horned and non horned goat areas, the volunteers bid goodbye to the animals.
