Bergen Branch Does Landscaping Work (2nd) for Chinese Association in Goshen, NY (12/17/2023)

The AYLUS Bergen Branch returned to Goshen, NY on Sunday 12/17 to continue helping out a local Chinese Association with landscaping and gardening work.

Due to recent tree felling, the church land owned by the Association was covered with unsightly sticks and leaves. Our task this time was to clean up the property by burning up the excess wood using controlled fires.

We collaborated with the Student Government of the Association’s Chinese School in this endeavor. All of us were taught valuable lessons during the event, such as the skill of lighting a fire and the importance of outdoor fire safety. We were glad to leave the church land cleaner than we had found it, and we look forward to future joint efforts with this Chinese Association community.
