On Saturday, November 25, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a beach cleanup.
Starting up in the parks, they found loose wrappers from food and bits of plastic littered across the ground. They also picked up some stray bottles and a couple littered bags from dog walkers. Rounding out to the shore, they found small slivers of plastic in the seaweed, some old clothing, as well as some bottle caps and other odds and ends scattered in the sand. They then crossed over to the parking lot and picked up more bits of litter, before throwing it away in the trash bin.The volunteers were given much interest and compliments for their work from passerby.
