On November 4th, three individuals from the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch participated in the Town of Chapel Hill Forest Restoration Project, aiming to enhance the area near Bolin Creek Trail. Collaborating with fellow volunteers, our focus was to eliminate harmful plants, particularly privet, which posed a threat to the native vegetation. We dedicated our effort to two-and-a-half hours, resulting in the successful removal of invasive plants from various sections. We hope that our contribution has positively impacted the ecosystem of Bolin Creek Trail, creating a better habitat for both plants and animals. We look forward to participating in this again next month!
Volunteers who participated in this event are Vanessa Lin (2.5 hrs), Elsa Xu (2.5 hrs), and Luna Chen (2.5 hrs).
