On November 11th, three members from the Chapel Hill branch got together for a creative project, which was to handmade Thanksgiving placemats for seniors. Meals on Wheels wanted to give each senior citizen who gets a meal a placemat made with love. We drew and decorated the paper with happy and colorful images to bring some cheer to the senior citizens, and even got them laminated, so they could be cleaned off and reused. It was a fun and meaningful way to give back to the community!
The volunteers who participated in this event were Luna Chen (2 hours), Jack (Zhiyuan) Xu (2 hours), and Eric Sun (1.5 hours).
