AYLUS Pearland has been a partner of Project Rise and Shine since 2020 and has received an annual grant from the Hogg Foundation to promote the mental health of minority youth. As a requirement of the grant, AYLUS Pearland has to submit expense reports, maintain a list of programs with statistical data, and report to Project Rise and Shine on the impact of each program on youth and society. Starting May 2023, AYLUS Pearland’s responsibility has been expanded to help other PRS partners to fulfill the reporting duties.
AYLUS leaders have been taking active roles in assisting Project Rise and Shine’s routine management during September and October 2023
- Alvin Zheng and Aila Jiang: Organized receipts and completed PRS expense reports for several partners by service category.
- Jonathan Niu/Tina Dong/Wendy Yin/Alex Sun: Posted activity reports on the PRS’ partners and LSA websites and other social media platforms.
- Aila Jiang: Filled out the Hogg Foundation’s Project Rise collaboration report. Documented the time, location, participants, partners, mechanisms for working with the community, decision-making process, and impact of the event for each project sponsored by the Hogg Foundation.
- William Sun/Matthew Niu/Kara Li/Zide Liu/Derek Zhu: Assisted LSA/PRS to organize the annual report and youth partnership collaboration meetings, design promotion materials, and to maintain an Excel master file of activities.
Moreover, a team of junior members have been going through all the PRS historical events to compute project statistics for promotion.
