Chapel Hill Branch Donates Homemade Cookies to Meals on Wheels on Sept 24, 2023

On September 24th, members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill branch baked cookies for Meals on Wheels, an organization that provides food and other services to senior citizens in need. In total, the 8 members of the branch baked 150 sugar cookies, including a batch shaped to resemble the moon cakes of the Mid-Autumn festival, a significant holiday in Chinese culture (9/29).

All of the cookies made were directly donated to the local Meals on Wheels service. We hope these desserts will bring more joy to the meals served by Meals on Wheels, and we are grateful to be able to impact individual lives, even from our own homes!

Volunteers who participated in this event are Nicholas Wang (4 hrs, 1.5 hrs wrapping), Eric Sun (4 hrs), Ethan Li (4 hrs), Matthew Guo (4 hrs), Owen Xie (4 hrs), and Luna Chen (4 hrs)
