On September 24, 2023, Frisco & Plano Branch volunteers went to Dallas Chinese Fellowship Church(DCFC) to assist the Agape Special Needs Program with their kids. The Agape Special Needs Program is designed to guide disadvantaged children through a therapeutic healing process with different activities that incorporate art, music, games and more. As Frisco & Plano Branch volunteers, we helped guide the children through different fun activities that helped teach them values like kindness and respect. Every kid was unique and had a different personality, meaning we had to watch how we interacted with each of them. After the activities were over, we offered the kids some cotton candy, which they really enjoyed(kids love sugar!). We learned to have patience and show kindness, even in the face of frustration.
