On Saturday, August 12th, volunteers from AYLUS held a celebration and chess tournament for every student who participated in the Summer 2023 Chess and K-pop Dance Lessons.
The volunteers arrived early to set up snacks and drinks. By the time they were finished, the students and their parents began to arrive. They were offered twisted balloons and cotton candy. Everyone talked and relaxed during this time.
After a while, the students who participated in the K-pop Dance Lessons were pulled aside to run their prepared dance a few more times before performing it in front of their parents and peers. Despite some last-minute changes in the formations, the students still had an excellent performance. The chess tournament began around this time, as well. After almost an hour of chess matches, there was a winner, and they were given a prize.
By the end of the celebration and tournament, certificates were handed to every student. All of the instructors were proud of what the students had achieved throughout the summer.
