Chapel Hill Branch Hosts Trash Clean Up Event at Bolin Creek Trail on Sep 2, 2023

On September 2, members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch helped clean up trash and litter along the Bolin Creek Trail. The trail is used frequently by the public as a means of exercising and walking, which can cause trash such as plastics and glass to build up in the surrounding environment – creating potential dangers for wildlife. The Chapel Hill Branch is dedicated to the preservation of nature, so we took time out of our day to help clean up some of the trash in the hot sun. We were able to pick up multiple bags of trash containing bottles, plastic containers, and caps. We love to lead by example and we hope others will follow our actions and help in the preservation of these trails.

Volunteers who participated in this event – Eric Sun (1.5 hours), Ethan Li (1.5 hours), Ethan Li (1.5 hours), Karen Lin (1.5 hours), Kayla Lin (1.5 hours), Kasi Lin (1.5 hours), and Jack Xu (1.5 hours).
