On 9/2/2023, AYLUS Manhasset organized an event to help clean up property of senior citizens, free of charge. This event was made to try and raise awareness about labor day and the importance of all employees, whether they be white or blue collar workers. In the afternoon, we started to clean up branches and other debris, putting them in a pile to be used to create fertilizer. Once all the various branches were collected, members were tasked with methodically breaking them into smaller pieces, and disposing of them into a fire. Our event was a success in that it encouraged children and teenagers usually not from AYLUS Manhasset to become more aware and to be more cognizant of their community.
