Frisco & Plano branch 1st time Advocated Obamacare, Medicare and Medicaid Program for Healthcare Equity to Local Communities on August 20, 2023

During the week before, Charlotte and Melody spent their time designing and drawing posters for this event to make the audience understand what & why we do. On the afternoon of August 20, 2023, we gathered together and distributed flyers for the Light & Salt Association to promote health equity in Plano’s Russell Creek Park and Frisco Commons Park. Health equity means increasing opportunities for everyone to live the healthiest life possible, no matter who we are, where we live, or how much money we make. For example, providing low-cost, basic healthcare services to low-income neighborhoods. Light & Salt Association offered help for low-income families joining Obamacare, Medicare or Medicaid programs. So we printed out flyers and distributed them at both city parks simultaneously to improve efficiency.  We offered free lemonade for the people who received the flyers and watched the Light & Salt Association’s introduction video.  Not only did we spread the AYLUS spirit also we advocated the importance of healthcare equity to the local communities. We will discuss the next step and probably continue to distribute the flyers to low-income families in local flea markets.  The following hours were awarded to:
