On August 4th, 2023, AYLUS volunteers gathered at one of the volunteer’s houses to setup a garage sale for fundraising and pre-sale some items.
Over the previous weeks leading up to this day, volunteers began collecting donated items. They posted the selected items on Facebook and other social media platforms. On the preparation day, the volunteers dedicated their time arranging all the donated items. Clothing, household goods, electronics, toys, and other miscellaneous items were carefully placed into separate containers. Volunteers also wrote signs for advertisement. Upon completion, all the containers and signs were carefully set aside, getting ready for the garage sale scheduled the following day.
