On July 25, 2023, AYLUS Pearland members continued this project as volunteers at the special needs care center (LSA).
At the beginning, Zide explained the project picture for new volunteers, how to use materials and tools, and explained the details to focus on particularly to paint. They then divided volunteers to work on different sections of the mural painting. Iris Yang was working on all the sections, Emma Lu, Yuhan Deng; Chenyu Jin and Andy jiang were working on LSA and people section, William Sun and Zide Liu were working on the office buildings section. The park section was mostly done already so the volunteers focused on the other sections. During the painting the artists showed their skills through mixing paint to color match, painting clean straight edges, and improvising different colors.
At the end of the day, we finished most of the mural and only required some touching up the next day. All the volunteers enjoyed this new experience and were happy with the progress of their work.
