On July 28 evening, AYLUS Syosset President Alyssa Huang and Vice President Sophia Liu jointly taught their 2nd art learning program. Members brought their own art supplies including paper, watercolors, brushes, markers, oil pastel and colored pencils to the program room (host: secretary Rachel Zhang). Teachers brought drawing books detailing the drawing processes of cars, animals, and people. Members welcomed a new student, teaching a total of five elementary school students ranging from ages 6-10. Teachers taught how to use reference images of the kids’ favorite animals, cartoon characters and foods. Students experimented with using alcohol markers, oil pastels, and colored pencils. The kids were able to exercise their creativity through their art.
