On Sunday, July 16th, AYLUS volunteers began teaching the first 90-minute-long K-pop dance class at Athena Dance Academy, in preparation to perform at the 2024 Lunar New Year Gala.
The volunteers started the class with a short icebreaker and a ten-minute warm-up and stretch. After, the 10 students, aged 6-12 years old, were taught the chorus and refrain of the song Likey by TWICE. As the class began to end, the students were split into two groups, by age, to showcase what they had learned.
By the end of the class, the instructors were all very proud of the students’ hard work. After dismissing the class, they cleaned up.
