On July 4th, Murrieta AYLUS members went to their local senior center for a performance. Members performed at both the Memory Care building and the Main building. A little background on the piece was given before members performed. The program included a little of every musical period: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary. After members’ performance at Memory Care, the seniors showed their love and appreciation for them by complimenting them and singing “You are my Sunshine” which warmed every heart in the room. After, members went to the main building for their break, where they were offered ice cream with strawberries. Then, members played again for the seniors in the main building and at the conclusion of their second program, members talked to the seniors for a bit, promising to return soon!
