On June 30, the dedicated members of AYLUS Pearland volunteered at the SMILE program organized by the Light and Salt Association, aimed at supporting individuals with special needs.
Erica Gao and Aila Jiang took the lead in teaching everyone how to play the drum bucket, a fun and engaging activity that brought joy to the participants. Assisted by other enthusiastic volunteers, they ensured that everyone had the opportunity to participate and enjoy the music.
In addition to the drum bucket activity, the students had the chance to explore the world of oil pastel painting. Guided by our volunteers, they learned different techniques and created beautiful artwork, expressing their creativity and individuality.
The day was filled with laughter, learning, and the spirit of inclusivity. The AYLUS Pearland volunteers were humbled and grateful to be part of such a meaningful program, providing support and fostering a positive environment for individuals with special needs.
