On June 27, 2023, AYLUS Pearland proudly extended its support to Ed White Elementary School’s summer school program. Our dedicated volunteers were assigned to classrooms based on grade levels and their subject preferences, allowing them to provide targeted assistance to the students.
The volunteers played a crucial role in facilitating effective lessons and ensuring that the students comprehended and actively engaged with the material being taught while maintaining focus. The day began with the students focusing on either math or reading, with a strong emphasis on enhancing their skills in these subjects. Following this intensive learning period, the students enjoyed a well-deserved recess and lunch break, rejuvenating themselves for the afternoon session.
In the afternoon, the students transitioned to different classrooms, enabling them to explore and learn the other subject. This provided them with a well-rounded educational experience and an opportunity to broaden their knowledge base.
Throughout the day, the students actively participated in various activities designed to improve their math and reading abilities. With the unwavering support and guidance of the AYLUS Pearland volunteers, the students had a rewarding experience, expanding their knowledge and honing their skills in these essential subjects.
