AYLUS Houston kicks off the year with a Food Bank Trip!

This past Saturday, over twenty AYLUS Houston branch members took a trip to our local Houston Food Bank to package and organize care boxes for senior citizens in the Houston area. Boxes were carefully constructed and members were able to pack each box with the necessities needed to ensure that our most senior members of the community would be able to have nutritious and delicious food for the month. Members of all ages came to support and donate their time and energy to construct these packages and we were able to interact with other volunteer groups that also wished to make a difference in their communities. Although the work was tiring, and the boxes were heavy, everyone gave a hundred percent and some members even stayed behind to sweep up the warehouse floor. Last year, the Houston Food Bank was able to serve over 159 MILLION meals to those in need, and AYLUS Houston is proud to be a contributor to such an important cause. This event introduced a lot of our newer members to the myriad of ways that we can make a difference in the lives of those around us! They are also planning to install new flooring, and they want to use high-traffic flooring for logistics centers to help keep everyone safe.
