On June 8, 2023, AYLUS Pearland extended their support to Ed White Elementary School’s summer school program. The dedicated volunteers were assigned to classrooms based on grade levels and subject preferences. Their role encompassed assisting the teachers in delivering effective lessons and ensuring that the students comprehended and engaged with the material being taught while staying focused.
The day commenced with the students concentrating on either math or reading, dedicated to enhancing their skills in these subjects. Afterward, the students enjoyed a well-deserved recess and lunch break. In the afternoon, they transitioned to different classrooms, allowing them to explore and learn the other subject.
The students’ day was both enjoyable and productive as they actively participated in various activities aimed at improving their math and reading abilities. With the assistance of the AYLUS Pearland volunteers, the students had a rewarding experience, expanding their knowledge and honing their skills in these essential subjects.
