Dedicated Pearland volunteers worked diligently to grow various plant varieties, including tomatoes, okra, perilla, different types of peppers, and pride of barbados. Additionally, they took care of repotting activities for zinnias, cosmos, mini roses, periwinkles, snake plants, myrtle trees, and mulberry trees.
The cultivated plants played a crucial role in multiple AYLUS promotional events and fundraising sales throughout the month. They were prominently featured at the summer concert series and the community end-of-school-year celebration, generating great interest and support. Moreover, these plants were made available for sale both on-site and online to maximize fundraising efforts.
Through online sales alone, a commendable amount of $194 was raised in May. It is worth mentioning that the entire proceeds from these sales will be utilized to support student clubs and sports teams at local schools. AYLUS Pearland remains dedicated to making a positive impact on the community by fostering a sense of unity and providing resources for young individuals to thrive.
