AYLUS Dix Hills Branch works with Half Hollow Hills Library to tutoring children K-5 struggling in school on March 22, 2023. Volunteers helped children understand the lesson they were reviewing during school and helped them do their homework. After some children finished with their homework, volunteers separated them from the rest of the group to allow the remaining children that needed help to concentrate better.
AYLUS Dix Hills hopes to make a positive impact on the community’s academic environment as well as children’s mental well-being.
Volunteers: Ru Xue Jiang (1 hour and 30 minutes), Asiya Hasanoff (1 hour), Aisha Rahimi (1 hour), Nayaab Afzal (1 hour), Gurvani Singh (1 hour), Lillian Chen (1 hour), and Tanisha Singh (1 hour).
