Reported by Jessica Lu
On February 20th, 2023, Murrieta members went to Meadow View Park to help pick up trash. When members got there, they immediately saw some paper and wrappers lying around in the bushes and quickly picked them up. Then, they went around the park picking up scrap pieces of trash. When they finished, they went behind the bushes and found tons of trash, and even someone’s homework! Next, members moved on to the grass area of the park and picked up orange peels, a Mcdonald’s paper bag, and all sorts of different trash. Members went to the playground and found little trinkets and rubberbands hidden within the woodchips. They even went to the parking lot and found colored pencils, pencils, markers, and an aluminum can to recycle! When members finished their clean-up, they disposed of their trash and walked around the park for one last scan.
