Murrieta AYLUS Handmade Blankets for Project Linus to help children in need #1 (2/20/2023)

Reported by Adora Xiao

On February 20, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members donated handmade blankets (5) to the Project Linus.  They first selected bolts of pill-free fleece, before laying them out to cut into large squares. Four inch squares were cut off each corner, then one inch wide tassels were cut. They then cut a slit into the top of each tassel, pulling the tassel through to secure it. After each tassel was pulled through, an extra knot was tied. They repeated the process across all sides of the fleece. After finishing making the blankets, they excitedly donated the blankets, they greatly enjoyed the craft, and look forward to doing more projects like the Project Linus !
